Computer Tips and Tricks: Test Your Computer's Anti-Virus Program

Test your computer’s Anti-Virus software with this little virus called EICAR

1. Open Notepad.

2. Type the Following:

X5O!P%@AP[4\PZX54(P^)7CC)7}$EICAR-STANDARD-ANTIVIRUS-TEST-FILE!$H+H*

3. Save it as .com (any name will do like eicar.com ).

Don't worry it won't harm your computer. It is designed to test  your computer's antivirus. If your AV didn't detect it, change your AV program as soon as possible.
